Is honesty the best policy? Imagine if there was a day when everyone told the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, for 24 hours. I can see some problems arising. We obfuscate and equivocate for all sorts of reasons: to spare someone pain, to protect ourselves from the powerful, to hedge our bets, to avoid commitment, the list goes on and on. Now, I’m not advocating telling untruths, but this is the time to hold your cards close to your chest. You haven’t seen the whole picture yet.
