If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

”If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” is an expression meaning that our efforts to ‘fix’ something can do more harm than good. Especially if what we’re trying to mend is, by all other accounts, in fair working order. So what feels so imperative that you need to get the psychological toolbox out? What needs repairing? Do people close to you agree? If not, maybe it ain’t broke! Whatever’s causing you displeasure or upset can sort itself out without you. Put your chisel back in the box and trust.
