You need to capture the hearts, minds and spirits of your people… how to manage that? Well, for a start use these four qualities:
Don’t be afraid to show that you are a singular leader just by showing your unique qualities to those around you and also show them that you see theirs.
You need to know what’s going on without others spelling it out for you. Do what you have to find it out.
Don’t be afraid of revealing your weakness – you will gain solidarity and you will build collaboration by showing that your not perfect. Nobody wants to work with people acting as they are always perfect – because we are not, and thats goes for leaders as well.
Care deeply about your people, but don’t accept nothing less than their very best. Of course, their best can be lower or higher depending their circumstances, but everyone are able to do their best with what they have.
And, of course – Leaders need vision, energy, authority and a natural strategic ability as well.
